Some learner drivers will be talking horse sense later this month.

Harness Racing NZ is running a three-day course at Addington Raceway from February 19 to 21 for amateur drivers ? including people who have never handled a horse before.

The course takes them through leading a horse safely and gearing up a pacer to mobile starts and racing.

Would-be drivers, who are eligible to sit for the novice amateur driver licence after the course, can contact Jess Davidson at HRNZ, 964-1198.
