Ice masters aim for medal

Spectrum promise hot stuff on the ice when they represent New Zealand at the Australian synchronised ice skating championships at Penrith on August 15 and 16.

  The team from the Canterbury Masters Figure Skating Club – ages range from 23 to 62 – will perform a salsa routine aiming to be in the medal bracket after finishing fourth last year. They are coached by Kim Lewis.

  The team comprises Stephen Codd, Robin Scanes, Tash Forsberg, Jeanette King,  Sophie Main, Hollie van Orsouw, Linda White, June Laird, Kanako Johnson. Front: Jill Borland-Ward, Monique Derbyshire, Jan Christieson, Jeanne Begej, Shirley Low, Kate Bell, Cushla Smith, Debbie Corbett and Eleanor Stanbury.
